Thornton Racing & Lady Luck Team Up For Vegas Win!!!
Ed Thornton struggled all weekend with his combo but he
had some luck (I mean a whole lotta luck) on his side as he captured his
1st Pro Street win an over a year!!
 John Scialpi qualified #1 with a stellar 6.242/221.56 in the Vegas night
heat!! Right behind Scialpi was series points leader Mike Maggio with a
6.250 at a staggering 244.21 MPH!! Wade Maggio had a few little gremlins
and his lifting 6.748 at only 175.55 was good enough for 3rd, Thornton
never really got off the starting line with boost problems and ended up
4th...

PSCA Pro Street Points Leader Headed To The 40th
Annual "Night Fire Nationals"
The Maggio Motorsports is
competing this weekend at the 40th running of the famed 'Night Fire
Nationals" at Firebird Raceway in Boise, Idaho. Driver and team owner
Mike Maggio is excited about the chance to compete at this historic race
and put on a great show for the 1000s of fans that annually attend this
event!!
Fresh off their wire to wire win at the last West Coast Outlaw Pro Mod
race in Sonoma, California, The MagCo Drilling/Lucas Oil Sponsored 70.5
Camaro has a couple fresh bullets thanks to the hard work of Maggio's
crew led by Kirk Kuhns, Wade Maggio, Martin Charles, Renee' Parker, Bob
Springs & Josh Rowley. The team has gone through quite a few parts and
pieces during the last two outings, but when you're "Loaded for Bear"
each and every pass, that's the price you sometimes have to pay....
No rest for the weary? Maggio Motorsports doesn't slow down after this
weekends event, Mike and the team head off to Bonneville to try and set
and reset some current motorcycle class records then the following week
its off to Las Vegas for the LVMS "Back2School Bash" featuring the PSCA

Woppado Racing and Street Car Super Nationals VII
Team up for WCOPMA Opener!!
John Scialpi and his Woppado Racing 1957 Chevy is making the trek
from Southern California to Eagle, Idaho for the West Coast Outlaw Pro
Mod Association season opener at the famous Firebird Raceway's Fox Hunt.
Scialpi, a 35-year Pro Mod veteran is coming off a big win last month in
Las Vegas (PSCA/Hughes Performance Pro Street) and has plenty of
experience on the Firebird's famed quarter mile.
Over his illustrious Pro Mod/Pro Street career, John has notched
wins in Canada, Australia and just about every western United States
track except one...Idaho!
Woppado Racing has always run well at Firebird, but for one reason
or another a win had eluded the team. Let's all hope this all changes
this weekend!

A Salute To The Military
featuring PSCA Pro Street & Nostalgia Nitro Funny Cars Photo Shoot!!
The annual Rockabilly Rod Reunion and NHRA Hot Rod
Heritage Series will take place Memorial Day Weekend May 27 - 29, that's
this weekend at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The legendary
music-and-car fest features rockabilly bands, nostalgia Funny Cars, a
pre-1965 traditional car show, nostalgia drag racing, hot rods, cool
customs and a pin-up girl contest featuring celebrity Sabina Kelly.
On Friday of the Rockabilly Rod Reunion we are celebrating "A Salute to
Our Military" in recognition of the Memorial Day Weekend. On Friday,
any Active Duty Military in uniform will be admitted free of charge to
the Strip at Las Vegas. Active Duty Military are also invited to
participate that evening in a photo opportunity with all the assembled
NHRA Nitro Funny Cars and PSCA Pro Street racecars lined-up in formation
on the historic LVMS Quarter Mile. The photo shoot will take place
approximately at 7pm..
Over twenty Heritage Series Nitro Funny Cars and sixteen PSCA Pro Street
Cars are expected to participate in a reenactment of a historic
tradition, set at the legendary Orange County International Raceway, a
Southern California racetrack long since closed in the name of progress.
We'll line up all these high-horsepower machines for this special photo
along with the Active Duty Military in uniform for what we hope is a new
LVMS tradition, "A Salute to Our Military".

Old School Match Race at This
Weekends Vegas Rockabilly Rod Reunion
In a classic old school match race, Nate Bugg will
match race his Vic Wood-tuned supercharged nitro AA/FC against the
supercharged alky '71 Camaro PSCA Pro Streeter of Mike Maggio at the
Rockabilly Reunion event to be held over the Memorial Day Weekend at the
Strip at Las Vegas.
Both cars have ran in the 5.90s, and since there
are no rules for the match race, look for the boost to be turned up and
the nitro percentage to reach 100% as a lot of ego and bragging rights
will be on the line between the old School AA/FC and the new school Pro
Mod style Camaro.
It will be the Smackdown at the Strip to decide if
nitro or doorcars rule. You won't want to miss this historic match race.
The Agent will set the odds next week.

Precision Turbo & Engine will pay any
PSCA Contingency Program participant who uses a PTE turbocharger for a
win or runner-up finish in all thirteen (13) PSCA classes at all nine
(9) PSCA & SCSN events of 2011.
As per the PSCA's Contingency Rules, any racer wishing to claim a

PSCA regular season races from the grandstands. His crew chief Doug
Stewart and car chief Tom Esbri had gone on to assist the Hairston
Motorsports team and tuner Shane Tecklenburg was with Scott Oksas'
Payless Water Heaters team. Then in October, Thornton had a chat with
his friend and mentor Derrol Hubbard regarding his desire to compete
again at the Street Car Super Nationals. With Hubbard's assistance and
with help from a few other friends, Thornton was able to piece his twin
turbo '63 Corvette back together and make the necessary upgrades to
compete. Tecklenburg joined the fray after Oksas car was destroyed in a
testing mishap and Esbri and Stewart fresh from tuning Hairston to the
PSCA Championship announced they were prepared to run with Thornton at
SCSN. Suddenly, the "Band" was back together again.

New Product Release / 8500 Series Throttle Body!!!
It's Accufab's contention
that in race applications, the available intake air on naturally
aspirated or nitrous equipped engines is too restricted. It takes
about twelve times as much air as it does gasoline to create fuel.
Recent tests have shown significant horsepower gains with larger inlet
air supply.
