LAS VEGAS -- Pacific Street Car
Association racers are being given another opportunity to race thanks to
Bandimere Speedway and the Super Chevy Show near Denver Aug. 17-18.
"The Super Chevy Show has a long history at Bandimere Speedway and we
are excited to build on the momentum of the event by hosting the PSCA
and two of its premier classes of competition," said John Bandimere III,
the speedway's executive vice president and general manager. "Hot Street
and Outlaw 10.5 will showcase heads-up, 1/4 mile competition that is
sure to be and exciting addition to an already entertaining event."
The non-points event will work as a test run on the viability of
bringing a full PSCA/Street Car Super Nationals event to the area in
2013. The purse for the two PSCA classes will be announced at a later
date. Sanction president Mel Roth said this is a
great opportunity for PSCA, its racers, and its Colorado-based fans.
"We're excited to work with Bandimere Speedway and thank them and the
folks at Super Chevy for this opportunity. Our ultimate goal is to
eventually bring a full PSCA show to Denver. We have a huge fanbase in
the area and we feel the time is right for Eastward expansion."
PSCA marketing sponsors participating in the Super Chevy Show at
Bandimere Speedway include MagnaFuel, H.A. Specialties, Santa Fe Sand &
Gravel, Lucas Oil, Edelbrock, and Alpha Omega Swiss.
