Racing History (series or street): The
story starts with my wife Eve. When we married she was
driving a stock 1974 BBC El
Camino. I wanted to build a race car so I purchased a new
Cadillac for her
and started building the El Camino. I raced in the streets
of the San Fernando Valley in the 80's after various motor
and Nitrous
combinations I pulled the car off the streets and borrowed a
trailer and went to the track. We raced in
various events including Super
Gas, El Camino Nationals and the Firestone ET series.
That was short lived when I decided to take my car to Pro
Chassis in 1992 to have a full tube chassis car built to go
Pro Mod Racing. It took 1 year to build the car and by that
time Pro Mod had gained leaps and bounds in performance and
money spent to be at the top of the class. We raced local
series until the FSCA came along and gave us a place to race
and a class in Pro Street to compete in. That organization
soon folded and Mel Roth came along with the PSCA . We won
the Pro Street Championship in 2001 and have race in Pro
Street ever since.
