Racing History (series or street): I attended my first drag race at San Fernando Race Track in California in 1957 after meeting the Stone Woods and Cook team the week
before. Their 1950 Oldsmobile was housed next door to a friends home in
Granada Hills, California. We heard a lot of noise coming from the garage and we wanted to see what it was. we were invited to see the car run at San Fernando Drag strip. at that time I was hooked on drag racing. In 1959 a group of friends and I built and raced a chopped and channeled 1932 for coupe with 4 cylinder Riley
head. We later put a Ford V8 in it with four 2-barrel carburetors,
Weiand Heads, Wilco Magneto, Zephyr transmission and a two speed rear end . Some of the cars that I raced later were 1957
Corvette, 57 Bel-Air, 58 Pontiac with tri-power, 1966 396 SS Chevrolet. . I also crewed on some of the old vintage alcohol and nitro rails and altered. I did some street racing and at that time the police would watch you race on the rural roads and the street racing was less complicated as it is today. In 1974 The whole family raced dirt bikes in district 37 until 1980.After to moving to Phoenix Arizona in 1981 to 1993 I was not involved in any racing until my business was built
up. In 1987, I bought a 1967 Camaro and started racing again. We raced S/P for five years
until a 1969 Camaro was built to race S/G and S/C. I was the Arizona S/G
Champion in 1995. The first $5000 bracket race held at Firebird Race Track in Phoenix was won by me in the S/P class. The first time I used NOS was in 1998 when I won the Pro-Street Unlimited class at the Street Car Shoot Out in Phoenix.
PSCA Class: Pro Street
Car: 1963 Corvette. Built by Larson Race Cars in 2007.
Future plans for car and or race team: To be able to have the car ready to race some of the 2008 series in Pro Street.
Biggest racing rival(s): At my age EVERY ONE.
Accomplishments (Wins, Personal Bests, etc...): In 2003 I won the Nor Cal National and the Memorial Weekend Shootout in the PSCA Pro Street
class. At the 2004 Edelbrock Fall Nationals I was a runner up in the Pro Street
class. Because of my crews hard work I was awarded the Most Dedicated Drivers award in 2005.
