He was the NDBA (National Drag Boat Association) record holder and series champion in the Competition Flatbottom Class (NA 500" Max) in 1983. Craig has dozens of race wins in the NDBA and IHBA in the Flatbottom Categories. After a near death crash at an IHBA event, Craig decided to hang up the parachute/life jacket combo and decided to pursue his racing interests on land and began competing in SCCA and IMSA racing. Craig enjoyed numerous class wins in the SCCA and IMSA series driving his 1986 Chevrolet Camaro road race car. A life long racing enthusiast, in 2000 Craig began racing his popular 1956 Chevrolet throughout the Southwest and was one of the pioneers of the PSCA Hot Street Class. Craig has dozens of PSCA Class wins and many runner up finishes in the PSCA Hot Street Class. Craig was the 2003 Hot Street Class Champion. Craig was the runner-up of the inaugural SCSN in 2005, and returned in 2006 to claim the SCSN II class trophy in the Hot Street Class. As of the beginning of the '08 racing season, Craig holds the MPH Record for the Hot Street Class.
