Class Description:
The Street Muscle class is designed for
Cars "Door Slammers" with no "Bracket Racing Electronics" No
Dragsters, Roadsters, Alters or Motorcycles are allowed to compete in
this class...... All PSCA events are 3 days, Friday
is an optional Test n Tune, Saturday offers 3 Qualifying Rounds for
Street Muscle competitors (time permitting)..... You are not required to show up on Saturday.....
There will be 1 additional time trial pass after the mandatory Drivers
meeting on Sunday morning before eliminations.
Rules &
Regulations:
Street Muscle uses a "
5/10ths Sportsman Tree" start system. Door cars only using no
bracket racing electronics are welcome to run this new class... Any modifications, any tires,
any vehicle weight, or power adders are allowed. Delay boxes,
crossover boxes, and/or any "reaction-time related" electronic
aids are prohibited.... Burn-Out Procedure:
Street Muscle does not allow burn-outs across the starting line. You
must complete your burn-out and stop without crossing the starting line. Buy Backs: You
can buy back after a 1st round elimination loss (Time Permitting). Buy backs will be
allowed to enter directly into 2nd round. The buy back fee is $20, and
you must have cash in the lanes when the buy back call is made before
2nd round. Bye Runs: During
1st round, the best reaction time during Saturday Time Trials will get the
provisional bye-run (Only if an odd number of cars occurs) During the
2nd Round, the
previous round "Best Reaction Time" will receive the
provisional bye-run when an odd
car count occurs.... After
the conclusion of the 2nd round, remaining competitors will be put on an
elimination ladder based on best reaction time in the 2nd round of eliminations. Deep Staging:
Deep staging is permitted but is at the risk of the driver

Policies:
The Following Devices are Illegal:

*Electronic / Pneumatic / or any Remotely Activated Throttle Stops
*Optical Sensors / Stutter Boxes
*Delay Boxes / Cross-Over Boxes
*Any and All "Traction Control Devices" Engine Oil-Retention Device:
All
Street Muscle Entries quicker than 9.99 will be required to utilize an NHRA-accepted lower engine oil-retention device. SFI Spec 7.1 or 7.2
Lower Engine Containment Device also permitted. The lower engine containment
device must cover the sides of the block and pan up to one inch of the
head mating surface and extend within 1 1/2 inches of the front and rear
of the cylinder case area. A belly pan may be used in the lieu of a
device attached to the engine. The belly pan must extend from framerail
to framerail and extend forward of the harmonic balancer and to the rear
of the engine block and must incorporate a minimum 2-inch-high lip on
all sides. A nonflammable, oil-absorbent liner mandatory inside of
retention device. Any device that fails to perform as required must be
replaced or repaired to the satisfaction of the technical staff prior to
any further runs. Payouts:
All Street Muscle Racers that earn prize money can go directly to the
PSCA trailer after eliminations and pick up his/her Winnings. PSCA Point System:
We will be calculating points at each event, and will crown a
champion at the conclusion of the season. (More points info on the Championship

PSCA Required Decals: Class Sponsor
Decal -
(Calvert Racing) decal must be
installed on base of windshield on the passenger side. (Bottom left hand
side when looking at front of vehicle windshield).
Registering For The Class: All
Street Muscle racers must register (Please bring your NHRA Track Tech Card
with you) at the PSCA Event Trailer before taking your car to tech....
Tow Vehicles:
Street Muscle does not allow tow vehicles in the
staging lanes. You can tow your vehicle back to the pits at the
conclusion of your run after exiting the racing surface.
Winners Circle Picture & Contingency Verification:
Street Muscle Winner & Runner-up must return to the PSCA Winners Circle
Area for Official Photographs and Contingency Verification. Failing to
do so, will result in loss of all contingency monies earned. There are
no exceptions!!!
PSCA Required Decals:
Class Sponsor Decal
A Calvert Racing decal must be installed on base of windshield on the

PSCA Oval Decals
1 PSCA Oval decal must be placed on each side of every car in a
visible location before entering the tech area..
Series Sponsor Decal
Chassisworks decal must be installed on base of windshield on the
drivers side. (Bottom right hand side when looking at front of vehicle
windshield)
Contingency Program &
Contingency Decals:
In order to become eligible for PSCA official contingency
program, You must first become a member of the PSCA. You can do this at
the PSCA Event Trailer during registration or on-line at the PSCA
Store. In order to receive Contingency Monies from any of the
listed Contingency Sponsors, you must have the correct product listed
and matching Contingency Decal for that product on your car for the
entire PSCA Racing Event... Racers will be checked for Products &
Decals while be tech'd in and winners & runner-ups again will be
checked in the Winner's Circle after the conclusion of each event.
Winners & Runner-ups failing to show up for this mandatory
Inspection will forfeit all Contingency Money that is owed!!!! All
Contingency Decals may appear anywhere on the vehicle in a clear and
organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified.
Most decals are available at the PSCA Event Trailer, but in the event
the PSCA does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's
responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the
Contingency payout.
Penalties For Violating any PSCA Class
Or Contingency Program Rules:
Penalties will vary for any PSCA Class & Contingency Program Rule
violation's from Championship Point Deduction, Race Suspension,
Probation and/or Re-instatement Fine (Paid to St Jude In the name of the
PSCA) If you are in any violation that directly effects our
"Electronics Policies" (Example: Use of a Delay Box, Use of a
Throttle Stop, etc..) You can receive the Maximum Penalty
(Disqualification from Event with loss of 50 Championship Points,
Two-Race Suspension and a $500 Re-Instatement Donation) You will also be
listed on a Web Page for all to view what violation and penalty any
racer receives..
