Class Guidelines
Rules & Regulations: 
  Mean Street uses a " 4/10ths Pro Tree" start system and will utilize a Sportsman ladder for pairings. Index offers a "All Run" field, so everyone will make it to elimination day!!!   "Door slammer-type" vehicles only are permitted. Any and all performance modifications are legal, no tire size limits (Slicks OK), no minimum weight requirements, and all power adders are accepted. 

Electronics Policies:
The Following Devices are Illegal: (And Have To Be Completely Removed From Car)
*Electronic / Pneumatic / or any Remotely Activated Throttle Stops
*Optical Sensors / Stutter Boxes Delay Boxes
*Cross-Over Boxes
*Electric / Hydraulic Pneumatic Shifters (All Shifts Must Be Made By Driver)
*Electronic Nitrous Controllers
*Any and All "Traction Control Devices"

The Following Devices are Legal:
* 2 & 3 Step Rev-Limiters
*Trans-Brakes
*Electric / Hydraulic Pneumatic Clutch Release Devices

*MSD-7 and/or any other Ignition Box that contains Programmable Timing Functions

Qualifying:
  All Mean Street cars will receive 3 qualifying runs on Saturday (Time Permitting), #1 Qualifier will be determined by the closest run to the 10.60 index without going quicker. In the event of 2 or more cars running the same qualified ET, the driver who posts the time first will be awarded with the qualified spot. If you run quicker than the 10.60 Index on all 3 runs, you will be placed at the bottom of the ladder for eliminations.

Staging & "DEEP" Staging:
All drivers must stage the car on his/her own without the assistance of a crew member (You will be Disqualified by the starter if you have assistance). Deep staging is permitted. Please have the word "DEEP" clearly written on all four windows if you expect the starter to identify that you plan on going deep. You do not have the word "Deep" to legally "Deep Stage"

Courtesy Staging: 
 Courtesy staging will be in effect during eliminations. Each competitor must light only their pre-stage bulb and wait for their competitor to light their Pre-stage bulb.. Once both pre-stage bulbs are lit either driver can then fully stage...EXAMPLE: If you're the first car to go up and stage and you light both your Pre-stage and stage bulbs before your opponent lights their Pre-stage bulb, you will be Disqualified by the starter... Burn-Out Procedure:
 Mean Street does not allow burn-outs across the starting line. You must complete and stop your burn-out without crossing the starting line.

Lane Choice:
 During 1st round of elimination's the higher qualified car will have lane choice.. In the 2nd round and beyond, the driver that is closest to the 10.60 Index without going quicker will be awarded lane choice. If both drivers go under the Index, the driver that is closer to 10.60 will be awarded lane choice for that round.

Tow Vehicles:
 Mean Street does not allow tow vehicles of any sort in the staging lanes. You can tow your vehicle back to the pits at the conclusion of your run after exiting the racing surface.

Registering For The Class: 
All Mean Street Racers must register (Please bring your NHRA Track Tech Card with you) at the PSCA Event Trailer before taking your car to tech....

Payouts:
  All Mean Street Racers that earn prize money can go directly to the PSCA trailer after eliminations and pick up his/her Winnings.

Winners Circle Picture & Contingency Verification:
  Mean Street Winner & Runner-up must return to the PSCA Winners Circle Area for Official Photographs and Contingency Verification. Failing to do so, will result in loss of all contingency monies earned. There are no exceptions!!!

PSCA Required Decals:
Class Sponsor Decal 
A CRT-Mean Street decal must be installed on base of windshield on the passenger side. (Bottom left hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield) before entering the tech area..
PSCA Oval Decals 

1 PSCA Oval decal must be placed on each side of every car in a visible location before entering the tech area..
Series Sponsor Decal 
TBA decal must be installed on base of windshield on the drivers side. (Bottom right hand side when looking at front of vehicle windshield) 

Contingency Program & Contingency Decals:
  In order to become eligible for PSCA official contingency program, You must first become a member of the PSCA. You can do this at the PSCA Event Trailer during registration or on-line at the PSCA Store. In order to receive Contingency Monies from any of the listed Contingency Sponsors, you must have the correct product listed and matching Contingency Decal for that product on your car for the entire PSCA Racing Event... Racers will be checked for Products & Decals while be teched in and winners & runner-ups again will be checked in the Winner's Circle after the conclusion of each event. Winners & Runner-ups failing to show up for this mandatory Inspection will forfeit all Contingency Money that is owed!!!! All Contingency Decals may appear anywhere on the vehicle in a clear and organized fashion. Contingency decals may not be overlapped or modified. Most decals are available at the PSCA Event Trailer, but in the event the PSCA does not have the decals in stock, it is the racer's responsibility to obtain the proper decals to be eligible for the Contingency payout.

Penalties For Violating any PSCA Class Or Contingency Program Rules:
Penalties will vary for any PSCA Class or Contingency Program Rule violation's from Championship Point Deduction, Race Suspension, Probation and/or Re-instatement Fine (Paid to St Jude In the name of the PSCA) If you are in any violation that directly effects our "Electronics Policies" (Example: Use of a Delay Box, Use of a Throttle Stop, etc..) You can receive the Maximum Penalty (Disqualification from Event with loss of 50 Championship Points, Two-Race Suspension and a $500 Re-Instatement Donation) You will also be listed on a Web Page for all to view what violation and penalty any racer receives..

PSCA Point System:
 We will be calculating points at each event, and will crown a champion at the conclusion of the season. (More points info on the Champ Chase page) Mean Street Points Page
